For over 23 years, Women’s Education Project (WEP) has worked alongside young women from underserved communities to build the confidence, skills, and networks needed to pursue higher education, meaningful livelihoods, and leadership in their families and communities.

WEP developed the Leadership Academy model, a holistic learning experience grounded in sisterhood, mentorship, career exploration, and community-based learning. This model has grown through continuous practice, collaboration, and co-creation with young women, alumnae, educators, and grassroots partners.

To deepen and expand this work across India, WEP-India Trust was formally registered in November 2020. WEP-India supports Leadership Academies and partners through the Collaboration Lab, helping them adapt and operate within their local communities.

At every Academy, young women:
Build confidence and agency | Explore career pathways | Develop future-focused skills
Connect with mentors, alumnae, and networks | Transition into education, employment, or entrepreneurship

Our History & Presence

WEP-India operates in both rural and urban areas, dedicated to expanding our reach and continuously assessing our impact. We’ve partnered with 3 NGOs, providing them with our Collaboration Lab, and are strategizing for nationwide expansion to ensure our initiatives reach communities across India.

What We Do

By investing in women’s education, WEP India builds a brighter future where women
